Artist's Comments

Third reposting of an old sketch dump that was too popular to be left behind....

Actually, I hate how I drew Sarah in this one.... You can definitely tell which character I spent more time detailing.....

Odd, dat. ;)

I actually like her in this version. It has a good effect that she is sketchy -- he is old while she is a new page in the book, so to speak.

does it have a fanfiction that coincides? there are many possibilities with this. i love it.

I agree that Jareth looks more detailed  Then again, you could think of Sarah as a dream image rising over him, which would explain her more eerily vague features.

Well, it's not quite a mop, and its not quite a puppet, but maaan...so, to answer your question, I don't know.

Same story, different versions...and all are true.

Great piece though
:iconlithiumcrystal:
I think you've got a fantastic knack for drawing Jareth. Being able to keep the David Bowie features in can sometimes be difficult for people (including me, because I fail) but this is a great example of when it's been done right. I'm also digging the pose. :D

Default apology: I'm sorry for what I've just said if I'm drunk.

It’s not that I don’t care. It’s just that I see an art form in apathy.

Thanks! I personally think it's the nose -- it's very uniquely shaped, and in more than one sense, the center piece of the whole face.

I also spent a LOT OF TIME practicing, in case you haven't seen the mass of Bowie portraits I posted... and that's not even ALL the ones in my sketchbook.... hehe.... :cough: ^^;

If there was only something between us
other than our clothes

Nostalgic for 80s fantasy films. When glitter was cheap, monsters were muppets, and Evil was sexy.

He looks gorgeous <3 <3 And I don't think Sarah looks that bad but she looks a little out-of-focus

It is very distinctive~ it certainly adds real character to the man.

I did notice the mass of them, actually. I was appreciating them. :D
